24 Hours in Cape Town!!!

After the trip to Cape Town, we went back to Durban and stayed there for about 3 weeks. Then all the crew sailed to Cape Town with the ship. When we were going into port in Cape Town we saw a lot of seals. When we got off the ship we went to eat lunch and did some shopping/looking. We just had a great time there. The next day it was Valentine’s Day and we went on a fraise wheel and since it was Valentine’s Day the girls got a red rose, the parents got campaign and the kids got orange juice in a campaign glass!!!

My adventure in Cape Town

 Hello my name is Elliot, and I am going to tell you about my adventure in Cape Town. It was really cool there. I’m  living on a ship called the Africa Mercy . Okay here I go!

We are Cape Town and I am going to go up Table Mt. right now. I  am going to take a revolving cable car up to the top. Cor! What a view! This is amazing. I wish we could stay all day. But I  would have to go anyway so I made the best of it. I saw some dassies, they were tiny! I had lunch up in the mountain café. Then I wandered around on the top and then I had to come back to the ship.

I had had an amazing time on the top of the mountain. I will never forget that day. So that is my adventure in Cape town.

Safari!

On Christmas holiday my family went on a safari. First we had to drive there. It took three hours. When we got there we saw wart hogs a kind of wild pig. Then we got in a jeep. We drove around for three hours looking for animals. These are some of them: Giraffe, wildebeest, birds, elephant, rhino, and nyaia.

            Next we went to the cat sanctuary. WE had a tour when the tour was over we pet two kinds of cats one was a chaetae. Then we went to our hotel ate dinner , swam in the pool and went to bed.

            Finely the next we drove to a dock got in a boat we went around and saw hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Then we went back to the dock, went to the gift shop, and went home. That is two days at a safari.

Cape Town

   

            We went to Cape Town and my family and I walked around the port for a while. We were there for a day and a half. We got to skip school on Monday but we now have it on Saturday. I think it is worth going to school on Saturday instead of the Monday we were in Cape Town. We saw lots of seals in the port. The first day we were there we ate dinner at a restaurant and lunch at a restaurant to .That is what we did in the day and a half in Cape Town. Rick

Every Thing I Did

Cape Town

When I went to Cape Town it was an amazing sight pulling in I hope one day when I get bigger I can go there again. I did lots of things there I also got a few things from the toy shop and the build a bear factory it was really fun especially when I went up Table Mountain it was very exiting I did not see much going up or down because I am really short (well compared to the other people that were in the cart like the very tall men and woman). I was the only child going up and down on the car I was on but it was still amazing. When I did get a little peek out the window I saw two children on the mountain it was confusing me how they got up or down???

 Anyway after Table Mountain we went to have dinner witch was very nice because we had spurs!! That day I also went to the shops it was very fun because I got a build a bear it was R85 it is brown, fluffy, cute and cuddly but nothing can compare with going on the Ferris wheel (this was the next day) and it was valentines day so before my mum and I got on we got a glass of either Champaign or orange juice mum and I both had orange juice oh yeah we also got a rose witch was REAL!!!! It smelt so nice when I got it. It was a very hot day so getting into the cable car was air-conditioned it was the best fifteen minutes of my life!! When I got out of the cable car it was very hot.

We went to the shops again and to the toy shop we went we only had half an hour until 3:00 (witch is when we had to be back on the ship ready to sail). So we raced there with little sweat droplets dripping down us I got a type of play dough called moon sand it feels like real sand but is kind of clumpy. I also got a puzzle kind of hang man witch was very cool when we were in the shop we saw a gigantic coke create man.

The things we ate were fish n chips, meat vegetables and potato’s, ice cream and for me lots of candy!! When I had to go back I was sad but I had the best time in a long time.   

Cape Town

            I went to Cape Town! It was so exciting because Cape Town is beautiful. Another exciting thing there was I saw my teacher from 1^st grade. Her name is Miss Katherine. She lives there. We went to Table Mountain together. We climbed rocks there, it was beautiful.

            We also went to a two story toy shop. They had a hole load of toys. It was awesome.

            Then we had frozen yogurt together. That was the first time I ever had it.

It was good.

            We had lots of fun together and in Cape Town.

My Safari Adventure

My Safari Adventure

Me again, telling you about my safari adventure. You will be amazed at some things like me touching a cheetah. But it is true, I did do it.

It all started on Saturday morning. I woke with a sense of excitement about the events we hoped to experience. The safari was called Hluluwe Game Park Safari. We got off and the adventure began!

 We got to the  game reserve and I fed some animals ,touched a champion cheetah, saw a giant giraffe , and a leaping lynx. We also saw a raging rhinoceros and some barging buffalo.

The rest of the time I pent coming back to Applesbosch. Then I decided to write what I had done down. That is my Safari adventure!

My Christmas holiday

My Christmas holiday

           

            I went to stay at a family’s farm for a week. It had three dogs. It also had a small swimming pool. I went in it every day. It was a big house. I had my own bedroom and bathroom there. That is really cool because on the ship I share a bedroom with my brother and bathroom with my family. Pretty much all I did at the farm was watched Disney channel and swim. It was really fun there. When we left the farm we went to this persons house witch had a big swimming pool.

            At the pool we played fun games like, Marco Polo and Shipwreck. It was literally were we always were. It was especially fun doing synchronized and sequential diving with Mrs. Sally, my friend’s mom. The last time we were there we ate pizza with the people who invited us to the pool.

                                                                                                                                          

                                             Well that was my Christmas holiday!    

My Christmas Holiday

My Christmas Holiday was perfect! I had my grandparents fly over to see me and my family. We went to Ramsgate for two weeks with them. Ramsgate is three hours away from Apples Bosch. In Ramsgate we basically owned a beach. On that beach, I and my sister Libby got berried by my dad about one thousand times! We had so much fun in Ramsgate.

            When we came back from our holiday, we went to Gateway mall. Gateway mall is the biggest mall in the southern hemisphere! We went to the waterslides there. Unfortunately, I broke my finger there, but it was still great fun!

Cape Town

On the way to Cape Town we stopped at so many places I can’t even name them all, but one of them was a 5 star hotel, it was so awesome. In the morning we went on a safari and we saw a lion, elephants, buffalos, elephant skulls, zebras and other animals and bugs. After that, we petted cheetahs and 4 month year old lion cubs.

            When we arrived in Cape Town, we stayed at a brilliant place, it is hard to describe so I’m not going to. Next day we climbed Table Mountain, it was hot and hard but at last we made it. Bendik, my brother, waited forty-five minutes at the top for the rest of us.

            It was a great holiday; we all enjoyed it so much. We flew back to Applesbosch; it felt good to be there. Now we are back on the ship witch is even better. Anyways I really did think it was fun!

My Christmas holidays were a drama. There was that one big question YES or NO. When finally we got the big answer witch was a YES!!!! At that time my mum and I were on a holiday.

We were so exited. I could not believe it when we got there I was (well I had to) staying at a place called applesbosch. It was so much fun because there was so much fresh air. Now I am on the ship and it so very hot.

We went out a lot like we went to a pool party I taught my self how to do a forward and back hand spring. I sometimes get water up my nose though. That is how good my Christmas holidays were. But I think I should have been able to squeeze some of my friends in my suitcase. I also went on a safari we saw rhinos, giraffes, water buffalo ( I spotted the baby one) We got so close to a giraffe and I was the one next to it . I got to use the binoculars and animal tracer it was a lot of fun. The hotel we stayed in was nice also when we got there was giraffes on the road. It was the best 2 months in the world!!!
